Beautiful inland 1 or 2 acre lot is being cleared for new housing construction. There are vintage trees (old farm), many prairie dogs, student-type-habituated housing nearby, experimental student projects operating near site, etc etc etc. I Am ready to move, suicide, scream…..
The city does not need more tax money. It is rich. Very few of our vacant areas remain. Development could easily be postponed until the next generation.
Where will the prairie dogs go?
We are located near a major river, the Platt, which receives Much water and runoff from the mountains. It is Very near swampy, and does not be in the same category as good lots, areas. Too wet, many small streams, some unseen. They say they can ‘divert’? Hahaha.
Land discussed is in Evans, particularly one block west of 23rd Ave at 35 , 36th streets. This is behind a SAMs Club, and Big O tires.
I remain sane one more hour,

P.S. Have taught and observed in the city schools here. They are excellent. Plenty of wonderful improvements have been made. Lots of food programs already, and sufficient staff: aids, librarians, technicians. Etc. Please believe me! cdr
Please, no more building permits issued. More road-widening is planned, and maybe not necessary. None of this has been okayed by the residents.
Town has grown in human population since 2008: 5,000 people, to now : 15,000 people. 300 per cent.
