About FTX.com

While FTX.com was one of the larger international cryptocurrency exchanges, offering spot and derivatives trading, it stopped serving customers in late 2022 and its affairs have since been handled through court-supervised insolvency proceedings. People left with balances on an exchange in that position face a distinct set of problems: funds that cannot be withdrawn, account statements that are hard to export, claim forms and deadlines to meet, valuations set at a fixed date rather than today’s price, and long waits between distributions.

If you had an account, gather what you can now: trade and transaction history, and deposit and withdrawal records. Follow only the official claims channel and the notices published by the court-appointed administrators, and note every deadline. Treat unsolicited messages promising to recover funds with caution. Because tax and legal treatment differs by country, take professional advice on how to report a frozen or written-down balance.

Balance stuck in the claims process? Set it out through us. We help you put the facts and the dates in order, in the wording that has worked for other account holders.

How do I contact FTX.com customer service?

FTX.com does not run a normal customer service desk any more: the exchange halted withdrawals and its group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States in November 2022, and customer balances have been handled through the court supervised bankruptcy process ever since. The support address on record in our data is support@ftx.com, but treat it as a formality rather than a route that gets money moving.

There is no FTX.com phone support, and that is precisely why phone numbers, chat pop ups and self styled FTX recovery agents keep appearing in search results, on Telegram and under social media posts. They are almost always scams: a genuine claims process never asks you for an upfront fee, a wallet seed phrase or remote access to your computer. Tell us what happened to your account through our complaint process: we open a case and keep advising you on what to send next and when to escalate.

How do I get my money back from FTX.com?

Money left on FTX.com is recovered through the FTX bankruptcy case in the US courts, not through the exchange: balances became claims against the estate, handled by the official claims agent appointed in the case, and distributions have been paid in dollars at values set by the court rather than in the coins you originally held. Your login gives you no way to withdraw.

Before you contact anyone, gather your account statements, your deposit and withdrawal records, the email address the account was registered to and any screenshots of your balance. Check every instruction against the official court appointed claims agent, because fake claim portals copy the real ones closely. Put the intermediary, the amounts and the dates in your complaint here, and other consumers approached the same way can find your case and back it up.

Is FTX.com still operating?

No. FTX.com stopped operating as a crypto exchange in November 2022, when it froze customer withdrawals and the group entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware, and its founder was later convicted of fraud in a US federal court. Whatever now appears at the old web address, you cannot trade or withdraw there the way you could before the collapse.

That matters for one practical reason: any site, app or person offering to reopen your FTX.com account, unlock your balance for a fee or sell you a relaunch token deserves suspicion by default. Verify anything you are told against the public bankruptcy case before you send money, documents or wallet access to anyone.

What do people complain about most at FTX.com?

So far consumers reported 8 complaints about FTX.com here, too few to show a clear pattern yet. Our research shows what typically goes wrong at crypto exchanges: fiat withdrawals that stall for weeks, balances that cannot be moved off the platform, identity verification that never completes, and support that goes quiet exactly when money is at stake. FTX.com is the extreme version of that story, because the exchange stopped processing withdrawals altogether and customer balances turned into claims in a court process.

What happens after I submit my complaint?

Your complaint gets its own public page on Complain.biz and we get to work: we bring it to the attention of FTX.com through emails, social media, paper complaint letters and other tools at our disposal.

And we stay with it after you file. Our trained AI opens a case file for you and keeps coaching: what to reply, when to push again, and how to escalate if nothing happens.

Can other consumers help me with my FTX.com complaint?

Yes. We have an active community of consumers, and complaints here are public: people who ran into the same problem with FTX.com can give you advice or back you up with their own story. A complaint with a community behind it is much harder to overlook.
