My complaint:
Having booked a flight to south africa from the uk, the uk government announced additional restrictions fortravelling to south africa following the omicron covid outbreak. i contacted the airline to cancel my flght and they directed me to travelup who i contacted to cancel and was informed that i should send an email. I sent the email on the day the restrictions were announced and never received a response. i contacted travelup several times following this and did not receive a response. the latest response i received was to inform me that the airline has listed me as a no show for the flight and i could only receive the taxes as a refund.
Suggested solution:
I would like a full refund as i ed my cancellation as soon as the covid restrictions were announced which was at least 3 days before my flight.
