My complaint:
While at the airport I was requested to book exit ticket from Ecuador.
I went on MyTrip and booked a flight from Quito to Guatemala.
The ticket cost was 381 Euro. I was using the mobile app, Flexible ticket option is pre selected, I selected the free option. I did not wish to purchase any extra services. The next page took me to payment details, it was 381 so I entered my card details.
Only after receiving the ation I realised the the currency was changed form Euro to GBP and I was charged additional 45.92 GBP for flexible ticket I did not select.
I called customer service, I was on hold for over an hour and the agent told me our extra services are not refundable go to the website and send an email.
I went to the website and there is no email address, only a phone number to call which I am not willing to spend another hour to speak to another unhelpful person.
I did not select flexible ticket and I was mislead with the currency change.
The mobile version is not user friendly and it preselects unselected extra products. I would like this fee to be refunded.
Suggested solution:
I would like the fee of 45.92 to be refunded and the flexible ticket service removed from my booking.
