DPD Ireland complaint: Non-delivery and deceitful customer service

My complaint:

I was waiting for the parcel to arrive and checked the tracking. There, I found that they had apparently tried to deliver the parcel 3 times unsuccessfully and it said the courier left a note because I was not there. Here’s the thing: I work from my home Monday to Friday during regular business and delivery hours, so there is literally no chance that I was not here. Nobody rang the bell, nobody left a note, nor called or texted me, and I only found out about the status because I chatted to their customer service on Friday, 23.06.2023 in the morning. The guy there said that he would have it sent out to me with priority (I saved the chat log). I ed all my details again, which he said they already have and are all correct. On Monday, 26.06.2023, around 2pm I got an email from DPD customer service that said the driver had failed to deliver 3 times so now I can either pick it up at their local depot or they will send it back. I immediately replied and told them that no courier has ever been here or tried to contact me at all, so I expect them to deliver this as ordered – still no reply, to this day. I tried calling the depot but it’s just an automatic message that tells you the opening times. So I went there, and they told me that the parcel was already sent back on Monday, 26.06.2023. Even before they sent me that email telling me to pick it up. Utterly deceitful behaviour, bordering fraud.

Suggested solution:

reimburse me and the company for the hassle and shocking service. deliver the parcel to me as they should have because this is their sole reason for existing. reprimand the driver for not doing their job. an apology would also be appreciated.
