My complaint:

The day of the installation a Monday I tested positive for Covid 19, we immediately rang Wren and informed them to see if they wanted to cancel, they said it was up to the installer, we told the installer when they arrived and they said it was all OK and removed our kitchen and said they would be back next day which was Tuesday. They did not come and did not call us to let us know they were not coming. My wife rang Wren about 3pm and complained and voiced concerns the kitchen would no be finished by Friday. The contractors arrived back next day Wednesday, no apology or explanation and instead had the cheek to have a go at my wife for complaining that they had not turned up or contacted her, and said 100% it would be done by Friday so she need not worry. My wife was in tears afterwards. The next day Thursday in the morning my wife tested positive but I was by then past the infectious stage so I told the operative this and said my wife would shut herself away (only one arrived) and he said it was OK and carried on, 8 HOURS later when the operative was leaving his boss informed me they would not be back until the house was Covid free and left us with a half finished kitchen and no cooking facilities. Covid was not mentioned by the installer as an issue throughout the process and we believe this is an excuse as clearly they (though missing time from site) were not going to finish by the Friday as promised. We complained to Wren and they said as it is Covid there is nothing they can do and we we have told them we do not want this contractor back as my wife is now very uncomfortable by them. We are responsible adults and were honest throughout the process, shut all doors, aired the property and at all time distanced ourselves even though the restrictions no longer apply. .

We are furious that

A. The installer ripped out our kitchen in the first place if they were concerned about Covid.
B. The installer was informed my wife had Covid when arrived but it was only a problem when he left that evening after spending all day in the house.
C. The installer reduced my wife to tears for legitimately complaining they had not turned up.
D. We have just been left with a half finished kitchen and no cooking facilities and no-one seems to care.

Wren must take responsibility and ownership for this but so far have negated themselves from all responsibility, and if they as a business have concerns regarding Covid they should have taken charge cancelled the installation which we would have proffered not the wishy washy policy they have currently.

Suggested solution:

Finish our kitchen we paid for.
