WestJet complaint: Unnecessary seat change caused me grief

My complaint:

I’d like to file a formal complaint about the way my seat was changed on yesterday’s flight WS167. We were told the flight was full and I was informed that my seat had been changed (from 23A to 9E) to accommodate a family before they began boarding. When I found myself wedged between two disabled people, I wasn’t happy, but I assumed there was nothing I could do about it since the flight was full and it must have been the only seat available. I also didn’t want to cause a scene or embarrass either of the disabled people in my row. Then halfway through the flight, one of the disabled people poured tomato juice on my brand new wool coat. And to my utter surprise, I eventually discovered that there had been an entire row empty behind me–seats 10A, B and C.

I had an extremely unpleasant trip: I had the seat mates on either side speaking to each other across me, I was unable to move, and my new coat now needs to be dry-cleaned. And all this when there was absolutely no need of my being wedged into seat 9E since there was another row entirely free on the plane.

Suggested solution:

Cover the cost of my dry cleaning.
