My complaint:

I advised westjet I have a license for my service to accompany me on my flight. The lady 1st of all told me my dog was too big and had to travel underneath. I advised her I have travelled with this dog 3 times over the past 6 weeks with no hassle from Westjet. She was insistent that my giant schnauzer did not meet the criteria. I HAVE ALWAYS TRAVELLED IN ROW 1 WITH THE DOG and she informed me that was not possible as that was an emergency row!!! I had used some of my banked money and westjet dollars for the flight and she told me I would have to callback when they showed back up in my file. My $360 flight turned into $940 for a one hour flight and all she did was move me from row 4 to 3. This women continually talked over me when I was questioning me and when I asked her to be quiet for a minute so she could listen to what I was saying she said I was being rude!!! ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE DOG ACT she is not allowed to refuse my dog on the flight with me nor ask me why I need the dog both which she did!! I also would like an explanation as to the huge increase in the fare for 1 row!!!! This women need to be reprimanded as there is a $3000 fine for doing what she did! I have spent a lot of money over the years with your company and never have run into anything like this.

Suggested solution:

Educate these people. Explain why the huge fare increase for 1 row change. Compensate me somehow!!
