My complaint:
Hi there, on Thursday 29th October 2020, a group of us took and Uber home. Unfortunately there was an unavoidable incident where damage was caused to the exterior of the vehicle which would need to be cleaned. However, this would take 2 minutes for the driver to clean with some warm soapy water. If he did want to get it cleaned by another party, then the cost would be around £5-£10 as the damage was minor. Despite this, I was charged a cleaning fee of £40 and was not allowed to challenge this! £40 was taken out of my bank account before I could even appeal the fine. The fine is extremely excessive and Uber won’t listen to my complaint. Any assistance from you would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
