My complaint:
The Spa has not been functional for weeks. The pool has been drained and the steam/ sauna have not been operational for weeks. I am a resident at this ritz, and it has been months I have been telling them that the sauna door is not the correct door as it does not seal the sauna properly. There is air coming in from the top, bottom, and both sides. The door is too small. The employees of the spa told me they have submitted dozens of requests to have it fixed and nobody responds to their requests. Now the sauna and steam have been broken for over 2 weeks and the pool area close to 3 weeks. None of it was functional during Christmas and new years and even now they have no intention of changing the door on the sauna. The gym has no cold water, and when I asked them for a coffee while in the spa a couple of weeks ago they told me they could not serve it. I have stayed and lived in the ritz in other cities before and I can tell you that this ritz is without a doubt the worst one I have been in in terms of service and amenities. The spa shower hook is on the wrong side so that when you shower you have to come out naked to grab your robe. All of these minor details are what give the ritz its name, and this particular establishment is far from living up to that name. As a resident, I also have 2 drivers and 2 SUVs. The residence I have comes with 2 parking spots. I learned only after moving in that the parking does not fit SUVs and that I will have to pay 10 dollars an hour to valet my vehicles, despite having 2 parking spots. As long as I live in the ritz, I will have to pay 10 dollars per hour to valet 2 vehicles. Do you realize how absurd this is? My brother comes on his motorcycle and valet refuses to take it and when I tell them to let him park in my empty parking spots because my vehicles don’t fit they told me that unfortunately motorcycles aren’t allowed to park in the underground either. I don’t understand how these things have been permitted to happen under the ritz Carleton brand. This is not the service I expected from this establishment. I would give it a 2 or 3 star rating at best.
Suggested solution:
Change the sauna door, fix the swimming pool and steam, allow the staff to serve coffee to the residence and guests if they request it in the spa. Accept residence SUVs in the parking garage without charging them 10 dollars an hour especially if they own 2 parking spots already. Do an audit of the entire facility and residence and forge this establishment to live up to the standards that are expected from the ritz
