My complaint:
I am a contractor and I spend tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot every year. After being told that January 31st is the last day returns wo a receipt would be accepted I did an extra inventory and scoured the yard for overages, accidental orders, procurement errors, etc., that are 90 days old or less. I went to painstaking lengths to get this done by the cutoff only to have my return denied. These returns are how I maximize my profit and as a result spend more money at Home Depot. This makes absolutely no sense. My first reaction was to call the number on the Return Denied Transaction receipt (The Retail Equation). I spoke with Laura (employee 0745) earlier this morning. She was short and bordered on rude. She simply said any time I make a return I risk it being denied. She told me there is no manager available to speak with and that I would have to wait 24 to 48 hours for a call back. This is getting more and more outrageous by the day. I’m spending more time attempting to resolve this than I am working. I would hope that someone will see this and give me a special accommodation for my last return wo a receipt so I can reach the goal I set for this venture. If not, I’m going to switch all my business to Lowes and will encourage every business associate I can from suppliers to sub-contractors to do the same.
My name is Rich Melella and I can be reached at (559) 519-2724. Someone please call me back ly with a resolution.
Suggested solution:
They should honor my return for the above Transaction ID.
