Sunglass Hut complaint: Refund received as an Ecredit and not back to my CC

My complaint:

I ordered two pairs of sunglasses – one for $316 and the other for $198. I paid with a $150 gift card and the rest by credit card. I returned the $316 pair instore to an unfriendly worker – as they were too small. My receipt said full refund and I was told nothing different.

Later I received an email for a credit of $92.22.

Their system evidentally split the gift card to apply to both pairs but this was not shown in my receipt at purchase or at the refund.

At first online customer service told me they would take care of it and asked for my ecredit . Then they changed their mind refusing to give me back the $92.22 via my credit card as they say it is the original form of payment per their record. Again, they applied the gift card that way not me. I only received $247.56 refund on my cc.

I’m beyond frustrated and don’t understand how they can keep in business treating their longtime customers this way.

Suggested solution:

All I want is my full refund back to my credit card as is due to me. I spent the gift card amount of $150 on the other pair of Maui Jim's.
