My complaint:
On July 31, 2021 I tried to buy some sunglasses online at Sunglass Hut website. My gift card was for $100 USD. The purchase amount was approximately $150. I attempted to use my gift card balance of $100 and per the checkout process I put the $50 balance on my PayPal account. The website initially recognized my $100 gift card balance correctly. But ultimately, the transaction failed. Subsequent attempts with the gift card and different payment options for the $50 balance also failed. After long wait times I finally connected with someone at their customer service who ed that my $100 gift card balance was now ZERO. A partial transaction occurred as the checkout process consumer my $100 gift card balance BUT the order was NOT acceptedcompleted and no product shipped. Several more attempts to resolve with subsequent phone calls and many emails were fruitless. The phone reps claim they do not know how to resolve. The reps claim to have escalated to my case but to no avail. Now my resolution inquiry emails are simply being ignored and the phone wait times are 30 minutes with reps who are unable to resolve this issue. It’s been 23 days since I tried to resolve this matter and no recourse, no replies.
Suggested solution:
Restore my $100 gift card balance, simple as that (you'd think).
