My complaint:
After driving down from Bundaberg [400 K] to visit the doctor after a thyroid cancer operation a week previous we called into the subway at Brookside to get a subway and then I was going to take tablets and rest.
My wife came back to the table with the meal and laid the change on the table- we then realized this foot long sub had cost $24.90.
Realising we had been short changed $10 My wife went back to the girl to tell her and she stated only the manager could do anything [I understood that], He was interviewing new staff. After waiting some time we approached him to tell him the situation as I had to get home to rest, he was very unhelpful and mocked me about my cancer problem.
He asked for my phone number and said he would contact us
He later rang us and said there would be no refund as their till was $4 SHORT Even though we had kept the change separate and went back straight away to show the girl. If this is how you treat 2 78 year old customers I feel for your business. The medical details can be provided and I am happy for you to check me out as I have a perfect history.
