Samsung complaint: Seal System Bad and in Warranty they will not fix

My complaint:

We have been calling Samsung for over 7 weeks now. Our Freezer stopped freezing things the end of June. We had a local guy come look at the freezer on July 6th and he said it was a bad compressor. He said it’s over a $1000 repair and to contact Samsung because we are still in our warranty for that. The refrigerator was made 4 years ago according to the serial number and the seal systemcompressor is covered for 5 years. Samsung has said on 3 different occasions that their repair company is coming… no one shows up, no one calls, we can’t get a hold of the repair company and every time we call Samsung they can’t get a hold of the company either. The company EE Fix has horrible reviews and they have many complaints about never answering or showing up. Samsung then said they might do a refund – we sent in all our paper work, the work order saying it’s a bad compressor, our original receipt – we have done this a few times. Then our ticket was cancelled. Now we back to they need the repair company to come. We were told again earlier this week that they were coming the next day. No one came, we have called again and again for weeks. They have even said we just need to have the local guy fix it and then they reimburse it – Really we need to spend over $1000 to fix an item that is under warranty?? We have asked them to work with our local guy and pay him directly because we don’t honestly have faith that they will reimburse based on the weeks of run around trying to get this fixed. How can we get the refund they mentioned, or get Samsung to fix it?? This doesn’t even cover the ice maker issues that we have dealt with for over a year and have also told them about. This was a $3500 Family Hub, it’s very disappointing we have gotten no help, we had to buy a garage freezer lost food that was in the freezer to begin with.

Suggested solution:

We would like them to follow thru with the refund they said they were going to do since they themselves could not reach their service company.
