My complaint:

We are a party of 4 who booked flights to malaga last november, before the coronavirus was a problem or known about at a cost of £800.
We are unable to take our flight on 3 october to 10 october for a number of reasons.

1. one of our party is a nurse and is unable to self isolate on return from spain.

2. Another member of the party is caring for his dying mother and is at her bedside daily.

3. The other member of the party is also working and unable to self isolate as he might lose his job as a result.

4. All members of the party are in our 60s and therefore in a vulnerable group.

I phoned ryannair and said I would be happy to receive vouchers or transfer the flight. Their response was that we would have to pay for the changes as we booked before June. These flight changes come to extra hundreds of pounds.
Unless they cancel the flight we will not be entitled to refund or vouchers.

We paid £800 for flights before the virus and now the same flights are being advertised for £19.99 each way. Again very unfair.

It seems unfair that passengers who booked before the virus are being penalised and losing money.

Suggested solution:

Refund or issue vouchers or allow a transfer free of charge
