My complaint:
I booked last year for 10 people to travel 187-217 to Seville to celebrate 2 x 50th birthdays. We were advised in May that the accommodation was closing and advised to cancel. Up to 4 days before FCO advice was not to travel and we also had a member of our party who was shielding. That plus a lack of anywhere to stay, we could not fly. We tried every way we could think of to request a refund but Ryanair refused as it was our choice not to fly. They refused to refund our baggage and seat reservation costs. We were told we could move to next year at an additional cost of £900!! Insurance won’t pay as we could not cancel the flights.
Suggested solution:
Offer a refund or at least a credit note which we could use against future flights!
