My complaint:
On January 6th we were checked into a flight to Belgium (FR 613) via Manchester (FR 9095). We arrived at the gate well in advance but were denied access to the plane because we could not present an international passport. As we did not want to enter the UK, we intended to stay in the transit zone for our connecting flight to Belgium. As January 6th is a public holiday in Spain (Embassy closed), we had no possibility to arrange the necessary documents. Ryanair informed us that there were no seats left on direct flights to Belgium until Thursday January 12th.
We had to book a new flight to Brussels from Alicante on Sunday January 8th with a different airline company and paid 645 euros to get to Belgium.
Suggested solution:
We want a refund of the 645 euros or a voucher to fly Ryanair again within the next 6 months.
