My complaint:
I booked flights in October 2019 for travel in September 2020 with Ryanair to Spain.
Due to FCO advice stating non essential travel not permitted this resulted in my insurance company refusing any insurance cover if I did decide to travel. So the sensible thing to do was to change my flights to a destination that was allowed. I changed the flights and paid over £200 to do this.
However people who booked during July August or September 2020 were allowed to change free of charge.
Suggested solution:
Allowed everyone who wished to change to do so at no amendment fee. I am happy enough to pay any difference in fare but change fees should not have been applied.
This proves there is no loyalty for Ryanair for early bookers.
