My complaint:
On 12132021, I was scheduled to depart from USA to ATQ( India) for some professional meeting held on 12172021 in Punjab, India.
However, despite receiving any prior email from Qatar airlines about my flight cancellation, I got an email on the day of my flight that my flight is no longer available. The reasoning stated was that Qatar had a contract with Amritsar (ATQ) airport and my return flight would not be available.
I called Qatar customer care and a representative on my day of travel, and they all were not helpful and had only ONE answer: We are sorry. After getting no help from them I asked them to give me a coupon or help me get a second alternate flight if my original flight got canceled so that I can reach on time at my meeting. I still left with no help.
Eventually, they left with no options except that I had to compromise my work commitment in India which led to my financial, professional and work loss. Above that, I had to pay $4000 to book and make another arrangements in order to reach my final destination.
I would urge Qatar to repay me for my loss of time and monetary expenses. This all could have been prevented if they had emailed or contacted me way earlier about Qatar flight error.
