Qantas complaint: Qantas not willing to compensate for cost incurred due to their cancelation

My complaint:

I had a flight which was canceled and rerouted. I had to incur cost with an inbound flight. Due to this and they refuse to compensate me.

Suggested solution:

Refund my $303 I had to pay on my air nz flight to get home
