My complaint:

I hope you’re well.
I really hate to have to complain before my holiday has begun, however I feel its important and would like to be contacted by management.
Myself Partner and my sisters family booked to stay with you at breydon water ref ( 8677261 Mead 8677258 Baldock ) we booked this back in March and due to it being imperative that we were close together I called to ensure this would be done, the gentleman I spoke to in the call centre said I needed to call 7 days prior to arrival. But they would note the booking.
I then called 8 days before check to be spoken to so rudely and told i needed to have given 70days notice and he wouldn’t even check to see if there was anything he could do. I asked to be put through to management but told they couldn’t transfer me and someone would be in contact within 72 hours. It’s been 8 days and I’m still waiting for someone to contact me.
I asked to cancel the booking and was told it was non refundable as it the cut off is 8 days.
I work as a Reception rooms division manager for a well know hotel chain and I can’t believe there was no allocations that could have been swapped to accommodate my booking due to being given the incorrect information back in March, as I said it was imperative we were together due to the child in our party.
I am so upset by this, and I don’t want to be one of those people but I’ve generally worked throughout the pandemic staying away from home and this is the first and only break away I will have had in 18 months. We’re now in completely different area and this will have a huge effect on our holiday.
I have been in contact with breydon direct and spoke to Louise who has been amazing and has tried her best to get us close together but been unable to.
