Opodo complaint: Approved Refund is Not Acceptable

My complaint:

I booked a ticket online and was looking for cheap flights that I can only afford and even borrowed the money only from a concerned fellow so I can attend my mother’s funeral.

I was supposed to travel last September 08, 2021, but I got denied by the airlines to board as Transiting to any other Asian Countries is NOT ALLOWED. I was told only when I went to the airport 3-hours prior to my so-called flight. There was never mentioned in Opodo while I was booking it that Transiting in a particular country is not allowed.

Immediately, I canceled the flights even the connecting flight to Manila as per their instructions so I will not be charged. They told me that they will refund the ticket and I am expecting a full refund as it is not even my fault that I got denied to board.

I kept sending emails and chatting with them but they keep telling me that it’s the airline’s final say. I checked with Airlines, they are only charging a small amount of fees, that I can accept. But more than 5o% from the amountvalue of the ticket that they are going to take it out from me, then it’s not acceptable at all.

I am demanding them a full refund but there’s no one to talk to directly. It is so exhausting and disappointing that I am not even getting a proper response.

They should not be publishing online a flight that is not even possible to travel in such country for transitting.

Suggested solution:

I need them to give me a full refund or if not, rebook my flight for another date so the money I borrowed will not go to waste.
