My complaint:

I am trying, without success, to download Cubase 11 upgrade which will only work with Windows 10. To this end, I purchased a bone fide copy of the software: version 21H2 OS build 19044.1415 and installed it on a formatted SSD.

Every time I attempt to install Cubase 11 programmes (there are many) Visual C won’t allow it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version but the 64 version won’t load because an older version won’t allow it to: Catch 22.

It is both ridiculous and highly frustrating as I’m wasting days of music production time just trying to get your software to work properly and do its job.

Suggested solution:

Fix my Windows 10 software so it will actually work as it's suppose to.

2 years ago - Further update: it would appear that Microsoft have, in effect, covertly sabotaged my PC by electronically 'fingerprinting' the motherboard and or CPU as a part of the free W10 download process. This, I can understand. However, when I subsequently buy my own licensed version of W10 I would reasonably expect this 'blockage' to be removed when my purchased version was installed. Clearly this did not happen and although it works in basic function, it is entirely useless for the only function it is there to do and that's produce music on the latest Cubase DAW platform. Needless to say, this will be a problem for everyone who downloaded the free version of W10: you have been warned!
