My complaint:
I sold a Givenchy sneakers on Mercari and I shipped it to the buyer who received and loved it. When my funds became available on Mercari, the payout options were either direct deposit or instant pay out. I chose instant payout for a small fee. I used my credit card information (which probably wasn’t the way to go) and proceeded to transfer the funds. It was processed successfully except I never received the money. I called my credit card company and they don’t have any record of a Mercari transaction. They also advise me to make payments through my bank next time. My issue now is, I understand that using my credit card may have been an issue but where do I go from here? Where is the money? Can’t it be traced and redirected somewhere? Mercari offers no solution whatsoever and I have contacted their help center multiple times.
Suggested solution:
They should trace the money to see where it is and redirect it to me.
