My complaint:
Hello. Last week, I bought a collectable from one of mercari’s sellers. The seller then went and wrote on the collectable and shipped it out to me. I left a review about it and why I wasn’t happy about it and the seller messaged me saying that I should’ve known what I was buying and because they offered free shipping and blocked me. But the seller did post on their bio that I didn’t know what I was buying. (As a collector, I expect my items in as good condition as possible; paying extra for protection isn’t a problem.) When I contacted customer service about it, they said that because I already left feedback, they couldn’t do anything about it and to go to their (automated) help center for my issues, which isn’t helpful either.
Suggested solution:
Issue my refund so I can send back the item to the seller and warn the sellers how to treat their buyers when they’re unsatisfied with their products.
