My complaint:
I bought a black decker hedger from mercari seller Moritha Salgado described in the listing as open box, new perfect condition. Mercari sent me the garbage version of what was described, used, scuffed/scratched up dripping oil not the item that was pictured in the listing. Mercari its seller expects me to do all the work for them to correct the scam they pulled on me with the return instead of sending me a return label arranging the courier to pick up the garbage they sent me. Mercari will not issue a full refund after their dishonest seller tried to sell junk pass it up as new expects the buyer to just sit quietly accept the bait switch scam they pulled with their buyer. Do not trust Mercari’s positive reviews, these are meaningless does not reflect the negative reviews of their dishonest sellers. Mercari is a total scam, don’t waste your hard earned money in a company that has no morals, no ethics that allow svammers to continue to sell in their site.
Suggested solution:
Issue a full refund weed out the scammers in their site or at least allow buyers to post negative experiences reviews with dishonest sellers instead of protecting these scammers by sweeping the problems under the rug.
