My complaint:

This fraud of a hotel is shockingly run down (worst and noisiest AC I’ve ever experienced, bad elevators, slow parking valets, peeling paint, bad bathrooms, no hot water, strange smells), and actually quite dirty (if you take a good look at the carpets and anywhere human hands touch… they don’t seem to know how to use a rag or a vacuum). The desk staff I had the misfortune to deal with were actually extremely rude and dismissive. The HVAC system is ridiculously noisy (literally like someone is banging on pipes with a hammer about every 10 seconds… try sleeping with that) and when they sent a maintenance man after over an hour of waiting, he said sorry, this hotel is old, what did you expect and that there was nothing he could do. When I said I wanted to change rooms, he said all the rooms are the same. Even the hotel’s GOOD reviews complain about the HVAC chaos. Room service was already cold when it arrived late and tasted like rubber. The outdated bathroom had a distinct sewage smell. And the hotel couldn’t give me a receipt when I checked out, but immediately charged my credit card, and a week later they are still refusing to send me an itemized receipt to explain the charges. When you call them, the phone rings and rings and rings with no answer. When Kennedy finally answered the phone, she raised her voice at me and yelled we don’t have an operative computer system here and can’t send you a receipt and have no idea when we will. Totally unprofessional person who claims she is the manager. That explains everything. Their computer has been out for over a week and they have NO estimate when it will be repaired. This is at a Marriott property in 2023, not 1983. And yet they have no hesitation about charging whatever they want to your credit card when you check out and flatly refuse to explain the charges.

Suggested solution:

They should refund my money. They should get a computer system. Marriott should drop this property from its system. The owners should close this dump of a hotel for a gut job renovation to bring it out of the dark ages.
