My complaint:

We stayed at the Marriott Hotel for 11 days. During our stay the room was never vacuumed. We would come from the beach and there would be sand on the carpet. I would have to use a towel to sweep it off because the housekeeper wasn’t vacuuming the room. Then the toilet was never cleaned because there would be residues at the base of the toilet which clearly showed it shehe wasn’t cleaning the toilet properly. The bathroom was a handicap bathroom and the shower area was never cleaned either. I would leave empty plastic caps in the shower and would find them. There would ge remnants of toothpaste left which indicated the housekeeper wasn’t washing the tile area. Then extra toilet paper was never left so if it finished I had to use extra napkins which I had in my purse. The bedding never got fixed. My husband would complain that the sheet and blanket was never straightened out. The housekeeper would throw the quilt over the bed without straightening out the sheet abs blanket. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but the service does not reflect this. The rate we were charged was not cheap. If feel we shouted ve compensated for the lack of service. We want to rerun in February for my birthday but my husband is reluctant to book a room there for us.

Suggested solution:

I feel we should be compensated for the lack of service we received. We have stayed at the Hilton and their service is a lot better. I didn’t want to put a bad review publicly because that just gives the Marriott a bad reputation and I know that the hotels need more guest. We were also under the impression two bottles of water were supposed to be left in the bedroom. We received them the first two days and then afterwards none were left. We just started purchasing our own bottles. We also didn’t feel the room was even properly disinfected. Then to
Make matters worse the elevator closest to our bedroom was broken the majority of the time where our bedroom
Was located. We had to go up and down the stairs not realizing the hotel had another elevator on the other side of the hotel. My husband is 72 years old and has screws in hiss back. I’m 66 years old and have problems with my knees. I have osteoarthritis in both legs. We were troopers and just took the stairs every day twice a day. First to go to the beach and then in the evenings to go out to dinner.
