Lowes complaint: Four Months For A Barn Door Installation

My complaint:

I purchased a Barn Door and paid $311 for the Lowe’s installation on January 20, 2022. The Barn Door was supposed to be installed on March 10, 2022 but was not installed until April 27, 2022. The March 10, 2022 installation was not completed because the hardware for the door was damaged and missing parts. The Fontana Lowe’s store received the hardware on February 1, 2022 and held on to the damaged box until the installers picked it up on March 10, 2022. The Lowe’s installers showed me the damaged box and informed me that many parts were missing and need to be ordered. After they were received the the following week the new install date was set for April 27, 2022. I spoke with the Lowe’s installation department several times and the store manager about an earlier install date and was told they could do nothing to improve the date. If the Fontana store had reported the damaged hardware when they received it instead of waiting for the installers to bring the obviously damaged box to my home the install would have been completed much earlier than it was. We had the door and new hardware in our bedroom from March 10, 2022 until April 27, 2022.

Suggested solution:

I should receive a refund for the installation cost.
