My complaint:

I am writing to file a formal complaint and request a refund for my recent experience at Indira Gandhi International Airport concerning my KIWI.com flight booking 448 539 619, E-ticket number 098-8059149198, PNR 4MDZQ, which included a Segment 23, New Delhi to Melbourne. I was denied a VietJet Airline boarding pass at Gandhi International Airport within the transit zone, and I believe that I am entitled to compensation for the inconvenience and additional expenses incurred due to this situation.

My flight, Segment 2, E-ticket number 0141700194717, PNR 29DXKC, which was part of a larger itinerary (Segment 3 E-ticket number U4UJXK, PNR U4UJXK), clearly indicated that I was required to Self-transfer within Indira Gandhi International. This information was further supported by credible sources such as [https://www.newdelhiairport.in/passenger-guide/transit-passengers] and [https://india.embassy.gov.au/ndli/infocnslr.html], both of which ed that Australian passport holders transiting through Indira Gandhi International Airport may not require a visa if they remain within the airport’s transit area.

Additionally, my research on TripAdvisor corroborated that Australian passport holders do not need a visa to self-transfer within Indira Gandhi International Airport. It was also reassuring to learn that there was a transfer counter within the transit area of Indira Gandhi International Airport to assist passengers with their connections.

However, the basis for my compensation claim is the apparent lack of support and assistance provided by both Gandhi International Airport and VietJet Airline to passengers like myself who needed to self-transfer and obtain boarding passes. This lack of support became glaringly evident when I was forced to acquire another ticket (Kiwi booking 448 539 619, E-ticket number 098-8059149198, PNR 4MDZQ), which also required two self-transfers at each airport. At each of these airports, there was a clear system in place to assist passengers, including a transfer counter where reboarding passes for various airlines could be obtained.

Therefore, I am resolute in seeking compensation in the amount of A$2,075.44 to cover the replacement flight and associated expenses. This request accounts for the additional expenses incurred due to the denial of the opportunity to board my flight (segment 2 3 booking 431 806 089) and continue my journey home on a fully funded ticket. It is essential to emphasize that no amount of money can adequately compensate for the time wasted, the stress endured, and the exhaustion experienced during this ordeal. I hope you understand my persistence in seeking a positive and expedient resolution to this matter.
