I didn’t have problem with departure flights and reached Colombo, Sri Lanka as planned.
On July 16, Srilankan airlines sent an email about my July 22, 2022 flight to London from Colombo saying Srilankan airlines regret to inform that UL50322JUL CMB LHR flight has been cancelled. Please contact your respective issuing agent.
I called justfly.com and they booked me to a flight but leaves early at 6:05 am same day July 22, 2022.
When I arrived in London, I tried to check in to my London to Dulles, DC flight on July 23, 2022, on British Airways but the flight was cancelled. I have a screen shot of the message but couldn’t attach here.
I tried to call justfly.com several times. Each call took me more than two hours hold. Finally, justfly.com said they couldn’t find a flight and asked me to buy a ticket.
I bought a ticket from London to Dulles, DC from a travel agent for about $2,500 dollars to fly on July 24, 2022, at 11:50 am. Note that the cost of this flight (last leg of my trip) cost more than my entire trip.
I called today to ask how to get the refund. Again, long hold and they assigned to someone to check.
The problem with justfly.com is they don’t have an email address to communicate. I need to email them with all documents ticket I purchased and screen shots of cancellation. They put me on hold for hours and sometimes it gets disconnected.
I have a feeling I may not be compensated for the ticket I purchased for $2,500 or other expenses incurred for two days to find a flight.
Suggested solution:
They assigned to someone to look into the issue.
