Instacart complaint: TOOK MY FOOD TO WRONG ADDRESS

My complaint:

I SUBMITTED MY LIST OF ITEMS TO SMITH’S ON RAMPART BEFORE 8 AM TODAY 112022
I REQUESTED DELIVERY TODAY BETWEEN 3-5PM
I RECEIVED TEXTS MESSAGES EMAILS CONFIRMING MY ORDER
I RECEIVED MORE MESSAGES SHOWING THE ITEMS THAT I ORDERED, MINUS A FEW THE SHOPPER COULDN’T FIND AND A NEW RECEIPT!
I WAS TOLD IN THE EMAIL THE DELIVERY PERSON WOULD CALL ME WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT MY LOCATION

7 PM ARRIVED AND STILL NO PHONE CALL, NO TEXTS AND NO FOOD DELIVERED!

I CALLED INSTACART THE EASTERN INDIAN MAN TOLD ME HE HAD A PHOTO OF MY DELIVERY ON A BLACK, METAL PATIO TABLE OUTSIDE MY DOOR.

THEN I REALIZED THE PERSON WHO DELIVERED IT…DIDN’T WANT TO BOTHER GOING UP THE STAIRS TO MY APT. SO THEY DUMPED IT ON MY NEIGHBOR’S OUTDOOR PATIO AND IT SAT OUTSIDE FROM SOME TIME BETWEN 3-7PM WHEN I FINALLY GOT ANOTHER NEIGHBOR TO GET THE FOOD AND CARRY IT UP THE STAIRS TO MY APT. ON THE SECOND FLOOR!

I JUST HAD SURGERY ON MY FOOT SO I AM UNABLE TO CLIMB STAIRS FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS SO IF I HAD NOT FOUND ANOTHER PERSON TO COME OVER TO MY BUILDING AND CARRY MY FOOD UP THE STAIRS…THEY WOULD STILL BE DOWN THERE NOW!

THE REALLY BAD PART IS THAT MOST OF MY ORDER WAS FROZEN MEALS!

IF THIS HAD HAPPENED IN THE SUMMER – I WOULD HAVE HAD TO THROW ALL MY FROZEN MEALS IN THE GARBAGE! THERE WERE AROUND 8 OR 9 OF THEM!

I DID GET THE ITEMS I NEEDED BUT AM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HOW SAFE THEY ARE NOW AS THEY WERE OUTSIDE FOR AT LEAST 3 OR 4 HOURS. I COULD GET VERY SICK EATING THEM NOW BUT I GUESS I’LL FIND OUT WHEN IT’S TOO LATE.

FURTHERMORE…THIS PERSON ALSO GAVE ME TWO (2) ITEMS I DID NOT ORDER!
ONE WAS A BAG OF CESARE SALAD GREENS AND A CONTAINER OF ICE CREAM!

I’LL USE THE SALAD GREENS ICE CREAM, BUT THOSE WERE NOT ON MY LIST!
SO SOMEBODY IS MISSING TWO ITEMS…WHICH I’M SURE THEY ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT!

ALL OF THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE THE PERSON YOU HIRED TO SHOP FOR US IS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND LAZY BECAUSE WHEN YOU SEE A 2 ON AN APRT. NUMBER…THAT MEANS IT’S ON THE SECOND FLOOR!

FURTHERMORE…IF YOU GO BACK AND LOOK AT MY ONLINE ORDER…YOU WILL SEE WHERE I WROTE SECOND FLOOR!

ALL OF THIS REALLY UPSET ME AND AS A 76 YR OLD SENIOR…THAT’S NOT GOOD FOR ME!

I SINCERELY HOPE YOU HAVE A SERIOUS TALK WITH THIS DELIVERY PERSON AND TELL HIMHER THAT IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN…THEY ARE FIRED!

ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS CALL ME LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AND I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM THE GATE COMBINATION TO ENTER THIS APT. COMPLEX AND THEN I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO COME TO THE BACK OF THE COMPLEX TO BLDG. 6 AND I AM ON THE SECOND FLOOR TO THE RIGHT AND HAVE A LARGE BROWN WOOD TABLE OUT THERE WITH A NOTE TO THEM ASKING THEM TO LEAVE IT ON THAT TABLE.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME ORDERING ANYTHING FROM INSTACART BUT SINCE I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TWO WEEKS FROM NOW ON….I’M REALLY AFRAID OF WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN TO MY FROZEN MEALS THE NEXT TIME!

I SERIOUSLY DO NOT THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THE $9.95 FOR DELIVERY AS THIS WAS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE FOR ME.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU INTEND TO DO WITH THIS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT PERSON WHO DID MY SHOPPING FOR ME TODAY.

BTW…THE SMITH’S IS ON RAMPART – DIRECTLY ACROSS THE ROAD FROM MY APT. COMPLEX (Destinations Pueblo) SO IT IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE!

THE MORON WHO TOOK MY GROCERIES TO THE APT. BELOW MINE, SHOULD BE TAUGHT A LESSON OR BE FIRED FOR BEING SO LAZY!

I'LL LEAVE IT UP TO YOUR CONSCIENCE AS TO WHAT IS DONE ABOUT THIS!

I'M TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THIS PERSON AND IF YOU HIRE PEOPLE LIKE THAT, YOUR REPUTATION WILL SOON BE WORTHLESS AS WORD-OF-MOUTH ADVERTISING IS STILL VERY IMPORTANT!
