My complaint:

I was born with spina Bifida which is a birth defect. Because of my disability I can not drive. I have been fighting with instacart for OVER A YEAR trying to become a shopper. After sending in EVERYTHING they asked of me and also spoke to my co-shopper Ashley Ryckman who would be driving me to and from deliveries they still took months of arguing to finally approve my request. Even after approval and both Ashley and I both speaking to Briana from trust and safety they still would not fix my app so I could start earning. Finally 6 days ago after again OVER A YEAR FIGHTING I could finally start. I have also asked several times for my picture to be changed on the front of my account because as of now it is Ashley and all of MY INFORMATION. Yet again they deny my request. So after finally waiting I am able to start earring I was out with Ashley on the way to my Third order when I had a message pop up asking for a selfie. Normal people would not think twice take a picture and send it and that’s exactly what I did. Well I guess because they NEVER want to hear me out they within 20 minutes suspended my account once again. My background has been cleared and is clean. I have sent in every bit of information they have asked for. Spoke with Ashley, I have been escalated several several times with no results. I at this point feel like I am being discriminated again due to my Disability. I understand it requires you to drive but when I have proof that I could have a co shopper and every time I turn around is a new problem I am very upset and feel highly discriminated against. I have never been in trouble a day in my life and because I am disabled I ham given the run around. If something is not fixed I will be going to a lawyer about this because this is pure discrimination and I have NEVER have had anyone treat me so poorly as Instacart has. My name is Kristin walsh and I will not stand for this.

Suggested solution:

Stop discriminating on people that are disabled and want to work for them. It’s hard for everyone now a days to find work but me a disabled single mother it’s even harder.
