Ikea complaint: no delivery

My complaint:

i was told delivery of my two sofas would arrive the day after payment.
I had someone remove the old sofas and was left with only four kitchen chairs for 4 adults and two children to sit on.
On the day of delivery i was sent a email telling me that they would not be delivered until later in the week. When i contacted customer services i was told nothing could be done it was just one of those things. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that it was not possible and also not allowed.
when i requested the number for head office the operator told me he did not have that information and i might find it on line. Looking on line i discovered it was the same number that i had been speaking to.
The operator offered me a £10 voucher for my inconvenience
which i found to be insulting. Never again ikea. After speaking to some of my customers (i am a builder and kitchen fitter) i have learned that they too have had the same treatment from ikea. Never again will either they or i shop at this store.

Suggested solution:

Decent compensation.
