My complaint:

I am a full time carer for my husband. He lives with a brain and stroke injury. As a carer I get paid. £67.60 a week and that is for a 35hour week. Which works out to £1.93 hour paid. My husband and travel on the Harrogate Bus line almost always. My husband has a bus companion card therefore I can travel with him for free. He can’t travel on his own. Often my husband because of his illness cannot travel with me so I have to travel on my own. This cost to travel on the Harrogate line 2 or 3 times a week on my own is very expensive for me . Sometimes it cost 15-20 pounds a week. If you take that from my £67.60 pay I am not left with much. There are some bus companies that do give full time cares a free bus pass but the Harrogate bus company does not. I have to say how disappointed I am. We are helping the NHS by caring for sick people so they don’t have to. An average pay for a nurse per week is £642.00 mine is £67.30

Suggested solution:

Give full time care's a free bus pass.
