H10 Hotels complaint: I was scammed at Hotel H10.

My complaint:

In January 2020 I stayed with my family at the Ocean El Faro hotel of the H10 group, in the Dominican Republic, the next day I was approached by a sales promoter offering me a membership to the “PREMIUM TRAVEL CLUB – H10” for 4,000 USD, which would entitle me to three FREE accommodations for two people, one week, at H10 hotels in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, valid for three years, that is, from January 2020 to January 2023. I made a quick calculation and arrived to the conclusion that, each week it would cost 1,333 USD, I found it advantageous to anticipate the payment and enjoy it later without worry, I signed the contract without the zeal to read all the clauses of the contract, after all, the H10 group inspires confidence, as do its employees .

On March 7, 2022 I made a reservation request to use my second FREE WEEK and received the following response from “PREMIUM TRAVEL CLUB – H10”:

“We regret to inform you that the Free Week included in your membership (as per your contract) has been already used”

I read the contract thoroughly and came to the conclusion that I was deceived by the seller of the membership to the “Premium Travel Club – H10” program. What is in the contract is different from what I was offered at Ocean El Faro, I took the seller’s word and did not read the contract, I found out that I am not entitled to the three free weeks that I was offered, but only one free week.

I ended up buying a week for two for 4,000 USD, if I had done it directly at the hotel, without using the CLUB H10 discount, I would have paid 2,380 USD, with a sea view in the same hotel and I would still have 1,620 USD left.

The sellers take advantage of the guest’s moment of relaxation and offer him the most advantageous offer possible, that’s what happened to me.
May this complaint serve as an ALERT for those who intend to stay in the H10 group hotels. BE CAREFUL, DO NOT TRUST THE SELLER AND IF POSSIBLE REJECT ANY OFFER.
