My complaint:

I had a payment set up for June 15, 2023, however my car repossessed on June 11, 2023 with no warning by phone or in writing! When I contacted GM financial I was told that it didn’t matter that I had a pending payment the car was picked and the account was charged off. They say they mailed me a letter on June 1, 2023 concerning this matter! As of today I still don’t have the letter! I was quoted a total price of $3327.10 to retrieve my vehicle the loan company where I was going to get the money to pay the car off asked for a statement in writing showing the balance GM financial refused to provide the information and advised the loan company that it was not a good idea for them to refinance the vehicle because they couldn’t release any information about the cehitso the loan was denied and I only had a coutof days to get my car back. I managed to borrow the money from friends and family and mailed a cashiers check overnight which was to stop my vehicle from being sold. It took them 2 days to post the payment and after contacting the agent I was told there was no hold placed on the vehicle and it was set to go to auction that day. After contacting GM financial the sale of the vehicle was not placed on hold with the agent. When I went to pick up my vehicle all my personal belongings had been removed from the car even the license plate had been removed and was being prepared to go to auction. The release form was delayed by GM financial.

Suggested solution:

Compensation for stress, suffering, lack of communication and not completing the necessary forms, written notification and actions in a timely matter.
