My complaint:
I walked up to the deli counter (no customers were there) and there were two employees slicing meats behind the counter. I stood there for about 5 minutes and then asked if I could get just a 1/4 pound of ham. No one looked up or acknowledged me. I waited about a minute and then asked again. One of the women looked me up and down, rolled her eyes and went back to cutting meat. I asked again and the other woman asked who was next, I said that I was and the woman who rolled her eyes said, No, she is not next, we have all these kiosk orders so just do that.
I said, well, I guess it is too much to ask for a 1/4 pound of ham today and I walked away.
I understand that people have previous orders but a kind remark about what they were doing rather than being ignored and being rudely treated is not acceptable. I spend a lot of money at Giant and like the quality of the food and the prices and no one has ever been rude to me. I hope this is the exception. I did not get that woman’s name but perhaps you can find out the name of the African American woman who was working behind the deli counter at 721 West Sproul Road in Springfield, PA at 5:20 pm and reprimand her or at least tell her supervisor. This is unacceptable treatment of customers.
