My complaint:
Giant Food 6289, 2104 Van Reed Road, West Lawn, Feb. 7: 12 violations. Observed Chicken breading room equipment, in deli area, with an accumulation of dirt, food residue, slime debris on floorracks shelves non-food contact surfaces. Also floor drain at walk-in door has an accumulation of stagnant water. Floor drain under food prep at chicken area had a heavy accumulation of slimegrease residue. Open Produce display case has a dirtslime build up on the underside of shelves above open food product. Plumbing system not maintained in good repair — observed drain lines leaking at the warewashing sink in the meatTeipei restaurant areas. 2 light covers in meat walk in cooler are broken. Chipped plastic scoop in bakery dept. found on clean dish rack, corrected by discarding. Caulking at wall of warewashing sinks in the restaurant kitchen and produce prep area has mold and must be refinished. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the raw chicken prep area. Floor drain at dairy walk in cooler and bakery has a build up of stagnant water build up. Produce walkin cooler fan cover area of the food facility is dirty, dusty, and in need of cleaning. Also stand up freezer in rear storage room has old food debrisdirt underneath. The quaternary ammonia concentration in the sanitizing solution of the 3-bay warewash sink in the meatproduce and starbucks kiosk was 100 ppm, rather than 200-400 ppm as stated on the manufacturers use directions. Commercially processed mashed potato food was only heated to 120 °F before being placed in the steam table and not to 135°F for hot holding as required. Bins of bulk rolls in bakery aisle area are not properly labeled with the allergen warning statement. Sanitizer dispensers in seafoodmeat and bakery depts were leaking at hoses on dispenser. Out of compliance.
