My complaint:

I got new pre-paid line activated on May 29, 2023
with $35 plan with 15GB data. Just within 1 day
use the data service proved to be so poor that I
couldn’t even do basic web browsing. Although
Freedom claims to be offering Fast LTE speeds
on this plan. Next day on May 30th I contacted
their support online and support rep tried multiple
times to resolve my data issue on my iPhone13
by asking to turn-ON/OFF phone multiple times
and even asked to take SIM card out and re-
insert. They tried to reset my network settings
too. Eventually they failed to resolve the issue.
Looking at this state of affairs, I asked for closing my account and refund of pre-paid amount of $45 that included line activation fee of $10. I understand that activation fee couldn’t be Refunded, but to my surprise I was declined refund of $35 for the pre-paid service that is useless for me and I am not willing to us based on my experience. I was told that there is 15 days grace period to withdraw service at no charge, however Freedom Mobile made a choice of daylight robbery on Canadian cell phone subscriber’s pockets.

Suggested solution:

Refund $45 pre-paid fee as I asked to close service within 24 hrs after very poor data network speed and bad experience with their service.
