My complaint:
On August 10, 2021, I entered the Food Lion Super Market in Emporia, Virginia. I have been a faithful customer for over three years.
It’s always been a pleasant experience shopping at Food Lion and being that it is close to home, I find comfort in knowing that I don’t have to travel far to shop for my food. Unfortunately, on August 10, 2021, after shopping at Emporia Food Lion, I proceeded to the service counter to play the lottery. I asked the female cashier at counter 315, who by the was very helpful, to give me eighteen Cash 5 with EZ match tickets. I also asked that they be separate tickets. She was unsure on how to process it on the machine, so she called the manager over for help. When the manager arrived, he assisted her but printed out only two tickets. I politely explained to him that I wanted 18 separate tickets. He then said to me, that is it and its $38. I then replied, I need separate tickets which are two dollars each which will equal up to $36. He then became highly irate and started yelling at me from the top of his lungs in an extremely unprofessional manner and said he was not going to stand here and argue with me. It’s what the machine says and if you get them that’s what you will pay. Again, I replied by saying this is not an argument. I just want to get the tickets and I will be on my way. He came around the counter and walked up to me in close proximity while yelling at me as if he was about to strike me. I stepped back and asked him why was he coming to me this way over a ticket and why are you less than 1 foot away from me? He continued screaming at me and stated that he will call the police. I asked him for what? He walked away to phone the police. I didn’t run because I had not done anything wrong.
At that moment the female cashier said she got it and fixed the issue. I paid her the $36, took my tickets then proceeded to leave the store. The manager was standing at one of the registers so I called to him…She fixed the problem. I thanked her and walked out of the establishment and then heard a voice behind me calling me out of my name. To my surprise, it was the manager! He yelled…YOU PIECE OF SHIT, I SHOULD KICK YOUR FUCKING ASS and more of the same. I turned to him as he was nearing me. I said to him, I don’t think so and besides, it’s not worth it. He then said that I don’t know who I’m fucking with. I said apparently. I turned and continued walking towards my vehicle. The manager followed me up to about 50 feet of my vehicle, still yelling and then he turned back and reentered Food Lion. I drove away. I saw the police rushing to the store and I can’t imagine what he told the police. Personally, I am honestly afraid to shop there. I fear I might have to come in contact with that manager again. I did manage to go back to the store a few days later to get his name and I have posted my complaint on Complain biz.
His name is Clifton Threat, Store Manager.
I am a 70-year-old senior who looks to enjoy my life in peace. However, to be honest, I am afraid for my life. I want to be able to visit this establishment and not have to look over my shoulder when patronizing this location. This particular manager is without a doubt a threat and I pray no one has ever encountered or will ever encounter such a horrific situation with Mr. Clifton Threat.

Additional training or remove this person. He's very dangerous and explosive.
