My complaint:
Upon entering this location on April 27,2022 approx. 3:30pm walking to the refrigerator where the Gator-Aid is ( refrigerator is located in front of cashier station ) I was asked to leave my back pack with the cashier. I was immediately offended. Not only were their other people in he store with bags, but there was no posted notice that instructs patrons to leave their bags with cashier upon entering store. I was asked in a manner that drew the attention of other patrons and I was embarrassed and insulted. The person who insulted me said he was the store manager and identified himself as Matthew Jamieson.
I frequent this location regularly. I exercise at he Charles E. Phillis, Sr. Esquire park which is across the street from this tore location. I typically have my backpack witch holds my exercise equipment as I ride my bike to and from the park. Typical before or after my workout, I go to this location to purchase a Gator-Aid. I was never asked to leave my backpack with a cashier until the above mentioned date and time, nor have I ever seen a posted sign instructing patrons to leave their bags with the cashier upon entering ( There is no sign. I’ve taken pictures ).
I felt as if I was selectively chosen , without out any provocation or warning to be subjected to such embarrassment.
Suggested solution:
I would like this person reprimanded for the manner in which he delt with this situation. Secondly, If leaving bags with the cashier is in fact a real policy, I would like it posted, like the face covering notice ( Ironically, I didn't have a face covering on, nor was it an issue with the manager ).
