My complaint:
I have been a resident of the Park Heights community for over 25 years. This family dollar opens late and closes early in this community. I went to the store on April 13, 2022, at 7:15 AM. The store was not open. Customers were lined up outside of the store complaining. I made a complaint to the supervisor. She said that her cashier was not available yet. I told her that I frequently patronized her store. The store is frequently late opening on time. She did not appear to be interested in my complaint. I attempted to visit the store on the following day, April 14, 2022. I arrived at the door at 7:48 PM. The store hours are posted, 7AM-8PM. The store merchant locked the door. He stated that they were closed. I pointed to the posted sign hanging on the door. I said that the sign says your store hours are from 7AM to 8PM. He said, sorry we are closed. I called the store manager the next day. She stated that they close the store early, at 7:45PM, for safety reasons. I said, the store hours are posted on the website and door. She said that the neighborhood is unsafe to be operating after 8PM. This is poor customer service. The manager is disinterested in the customer’s needs, daily operations, and customer service being given to the customers that patronize this store. She told me to file a complaint. She should correct the problem. It is her responsibility to manage the employees and store hours. Her lack of candor and unprofessionalism is a poor representation of your store.
