My complaint:

I tried to send a package to Canada, which was a gift and valued at no more than £50. It got no further than Heathrow. After 8 days it was returned to me. There was no contact despite giving them an email when I posted the package at the Post Office. I have not been able to contact anyone to find out what happened and seek a refund of the postage. To date, I have called the given customer services number (0330 808 5456) seven times. It is all automated, and each time I am told that this is under investigation, but I am still waiting. I have also emailed customersolutions@evri.com. I received a stock response from a ‘local depot’ apologising for a delay in delivery, making it clear that my complaint had not even been read. I am assuming it came from a bot! I have been trying to contact Evri to sort out a refund for costs but I am unable to make contact or engage with any of the customer services officers. It is unbelievably difficult to engage with anyone directly. This could be sorted out very quickly. I went back to the PO to explain what had happened. They asserted that Evroiare ‘totally useless’. I wish that I had known this before!!

Suggested solution:

Refund of the postage paid £19.98
