My complaint:
I had had two poor deliveries from Evri already this year (eg parcel left on back door step in the rain claiming to be my safe place porch – my agreed safe place is my greenhouse) but against my better judgement I placed an order knowing this new retailer used Evri as courier.
I was able to follow tracking and saw my parcel was delivered to Evri depot on Thurs 6 March. The tracking continued to say Evri would let me know when it was out for delivery.
One week later (13 March) I let my retailer know of non-delivery. They agreed to pursue. At 4.50pm that same day (13/03) I noticed tracking now claimed the parcel had been delivered at 20.00 on 06/03. This was a lie. There had been no change to tracking previous to this and no contact to say delivery was on its way. The addition of digits 20.00 only appeared on 13/03 and before 5pm.
I have tried to speak to a human being. No luck. Nothing but circular loops of communication frustration.
I have used the phone number to check progress. Initially the tracking number was recognised as being searched for and AI said they would continue to look for the parcel. Today the AI response changed to telling me that the parcel was delivered on 06/03 – repeating the lie. There seems to be no way for me to pursue this at all.
Today I feel very angry – this overpowers all previous disappointment!
I am optimistic the retailer will refund my payment – I know they are not able to replace the item – there was only one available to start with.
I am furious that not only have I not received my parcel but I am also wasting precious hours of my short life to pursue Evri.
If Evri were continuing to search for my parcel and investigate the inaccuracies of their tracking system I would endeavor to be patient and would be glad to receive the parcel at last. But Evri shows no sign of interest in helping to make good their inefficiency and the lies inherent in their automated system.
I intend to pursue this in any direction I can. Any help from anybody would be welcomed.
