My complaint:
Evri were meant to deliver a parcel from ebay, on ebay it is called standard delivery, Evri call it simple delivery. The parcel was meant to have arrived on Tuesday, it did not, I had a message from ebay stating delivery was attempted, but another email from Evri apologising for not being able to deliver it on that day. Next day I raised an emal from Evri that stated a delivery time, again parcel did not turn up. Another message out for delivery between 14.30-16.30 on Wednesday, by 21.00 hours it had not turned up. Thursday another message sent at around 12.00 hours (Noon) stating it was going to arrive between 10.30-12.30, again it did not turn up at 12.55 I get a message stating delivery attempted at 11.34 hours, there was no delivery attempt. I phoned Evri thursday night and was told they apologised for not being able to deliver on time and would deliver next day. Friday at 11.51 I get another email from Evri stating delivery between 10.30-12.30 by 14.25 I phoned them to get an update stating parcel was delayed and will be delivered today. I then get an email from ebay stating a delivery attempt was made at 15.38, strange that as I was in a room by the front door so definitely would have heard them. I called Evri again at 17.26 and this time made a complaint to get the item looked into and escalated, no mention of delievry attempt, instead they state that they will look into it. I called again at 18.26 hours, which was a waste of time, to be told they were looking into it by the bot. This is the second time that I have had this experience wth Evri. The result was I contacted ebay telling them I wanted a refund as do not believe Evri will ever deliver the parcel, ebay are telling me having looked into it the parcel is on its way (I don’t believe them) and now have to wait until the 3rd December. I had also put a picture and a place to leave the item on my Evri account profile (I had to open one to deal with Evri!) and a notice on my front door as to where to leave the parcel. Had a genuine delivery attempt been made the notice would have been seen and I would assume the item left where I had asked. Clearly Evri make it up as they go along and couriers do not attempt to deliver parcels when they claim they have done so.
Suggested solution:
Either Evri delivers the item, or admits that they have lost it and enable me to get a refund
