My complaint:
A delivery worker attempted to demand she had to take a photograph of me/part of my body without my consent and whilst I was within the privacy and safety of my home/property/premises. I had to educate her, what she was insisting upon was against the Law and a breach of privacy. I felt harassed, distressed and violated in that my right to privacy within my own home/premises/property was considered null and void. Evri has no easy access to file a complaint and when I attempted to use the AI, I had to choose an irrelevant option just to get it to what I thought was a human being. However when received a response asking for my reply, which is when I submitted my complaint, I got a nonsense reply in return, babbling on about missing parcels. I assumed whoever emailed me was also not human or can’t read.
Suggested solution:
I would like to be assured that incidences like this will never happen again to me or any other customer and if the delivery worker captured digital imagery or recording of me in any way (sensitive data) I would like to be notified of it and sent copies via subject access request. I would also like Evri to acknowledge customers have a right to privacy and Evri are at risk of being sued for breache of privacy and harassment should they continue with such demands from their customers.
