My complaint:

I joined eHarmony and realized within 3-4 weeks that it was not for me. I tried to terminate my membership, and I stopped using the site. Because I failed to cancel within a certain time frame, they refuse to give me a refund for the eleven months that they are forcing me to remain a member. After reading other complaints regarding eHarmony, I see a pattern. I don’t understand a policy that suggests that they really don’t care if you no longer want to be a member. Their goal is NOT a satisfied customer. They want to force you to pay for a service you no longer use or want. They are essentially punishing me for trying to give the site a chance, by not canceling sooner.

Suggested solution:

They should stop demanding that I pay the balance they consider due. They should credit my PayPal account, keeping only the fee for one month of service.
