My complaint:
I recently purchased a ticket from Ibiza to Madrid by Ryanair. I received a mail from Ryanair stating that edreams is not an authorised platform to sell their tickets. They even paid the ticket with their paypal account and not mine. I had to go through a process of validating my identity with Ryanair to obtain my tickets. It bothers me that this app does not have an authorization to sell tickets; what if my reservation was invalid? what if I had a problem? And edreams does not have an effective and clear channel for making complaints. I think they should be fined for infringing EU competition law. From my knowledge, this type of behaviour distorts consumer (in this case me) behavior and it is prohibited. I leave this to the experts.
Suggested solution:
I do not stand to gain any personal benefit from this, I just would like this type of behaviour sanctioned by the corresponding authorities. I am sure there are many cases like mine.
